Webinar: State of Private Investment in Conservation
Global
Forest Trends’ Ecosystem Marketplace is pleased to announce the release of its newest report, State of Private Investment in Conservation 2016: A Landscape Assessment of an Emerging Market.
This new report builds upon the 2014 report by EKO Asset Management Partners (now Encourage Capital) and The Nature Conservancy’s NatureVest, Investing in Conservation: A Landscape Assessment of an Emerging Market.
From 2004 until 2015, the private sector channeled $8.2 billion (B) of private capital into investments that seek measurable environmental benefits – in addition to financial returns. Within this field of “conservation investing,” investors committed their dollars to one of the following conservation outcomes: sustainable food and fiber production, habitat conservation, and water quality and quantity protection.
