Forest Trends is convening a series of sessions with small groups of experts to identify opportunities for scaling nature-based water infrastructure solutions within emerging federal infrastructure and climate resilience plans in the US.
Natural water infrastructure is central to building back better in the US. Forest Trends’ goal is to advance an agenda for mainstreaming natural infrastructure as “business as usual” in infrastructure and development decisions. Such new natural infrastructure investments will be more sustainable, resilient to climate and other shocks, address legacies of inequity and environmental damage, and help address climate change while supporting quality jobs and economic development.

The first session focuses on transferrable lessons for scaling up nature-based solutions from the mitigation banking and water quality trading industries.
