The Institute for the Conservation and Sustainable Development of Amazonas (Idesam), in partnership with Carbon Decisions International and the Katoomba Group held the course entitled  "Development of Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) Projects and Activities" from March 22 - 25, 2010 in Iranduba, Brazil. 

The objective of the course was to provide high-level information and training regarding the development of REDD projects and activities for decision makers and project developers in Brazil and Latin America, including the theoretical bases and necessary methodologies for the design of REDD projects and initiatives.
